Pulled my 20 year saw out and need to get it running again after 15 years at rest. Cleaned everything and added fresh fuel and bar oil. Pulled the rope a few times with no luck and decided to get a new spark plug and clean the air filter. After changing the plug, I could not pull the rope like before and it felt like the cylinder was bound, so I removed the plug and added a tsp of oil to get the piston lubricated and the rope pulled like it used to when starting in the past. Put the plug back in and it was bound again? Took out the new plug and replaced with the old plug, same thing. Would the next step be to check the exit from the cylinder by removing hte spark arrester/muffler or ?? Thanks for your input, I really need to cut some wood.
