Pulled my 20 year saw out and need to get it running again after 15 years at rest. Clean everything and added fresh fuel and bar oil. Pulled the rope a few times with no luck and decided to get a new spark plug. After changing the plug, I could not pull the rope like before and it felt like the cylinder was bound, so I removed the plug and added a tsp of oil to the hole to get it lubricated and the rope pulled fine. Put the plug back in and it was bound again? Took out the new plug and replaced with the old plug, same thing. Would the next step be to check the exit from the cylinder or ?? Thanks for your input, I really need to cut some wood.
